About Me
I am a mosaic artist who discovered this creative passion over 15 years ago after being introduced to it by a friend. Although I struggled to enjoy art at school, often finding that what was in my head never translated onto paper, I have always been drawn to colour and pattern. Mosaic finally gave me a way to bring those ideas to life.
That first experience, inspired by a simple poppy design, sparked something that has continued to grow ever since. What I love most about mosaic is its versatility and freedom, whether creating lasting pieces for my home and garden or designing temporary works from shells and pebbles on the beach, knowing they will be washed away by the tide.
Over the years, I have shared this passion with family and friends in small groups, encouraging others to discover mosaic as an accessible and rewarding art form. As the medium has become more popular, it has also become easier for people to try, with pre-formed tesserae removing some of the barriers to entry.
Creativity has not always come naturally to me, but with time and encouragement from others, I have learned to trust my own abilities. Seeing others experience that same journey, watching their confidence grow as their designs come together is something I find truly special.
Outside of mosaic, I enjoy a wide range of creative and everyday pursuits, from gardening and baking to theatre and history, drawing inspiration from everything life has to offer.
